Personalised Wedding Invitations

January 27, 2009

In these modern times more and more couples are living together instead of getting married.  Does this mean that marriage is dying out?  I don’t think so and having personalised wedding invitations is part of the wedding it gives the day something special.

I don’t think that marriage needs necessarily to be a religious ceremony.  I am not religious, but wanted to get married because I felt it important to make a commitment to my wife.  Also, we both felt it important to be married if we wanted to start a family.  I know this is old fashioned, but my wife and I are still married after 21 years and have 3 wonderful children.

Our wedding took a lot of planning and we started organising things a year in advance.  The main reason for this was to spread out the cost and also as we planned to get married in June (The most popular month for weddings in the UK!) we had to get in early. When my wife went to order the flowers at this time, she got the last booking they could manage for our chosen date.

The next thing to organise was the personalised wedding invitations, venue, brides dress, grooms suit, bridesmaids, flowers for the button holes, wedding car, catering, photographer, wedding cake, disco or band for the evening reception, seating plan (if you are having a sit down meal) phew… I hope I haven’t forgotten anything!

We found that our personalised wedding invitations added a really special touch to our day.  Many of our guests kept them as a reminder of our special day.
